Boot Camp, a utility that comes with macOS, lets you install Windows in a separate partition on your Mac’s hard drive. When you start your computer, you can choose to boot into either macOS or Windows. This allows you to run Power BI natively on Windows, giving you the best possible performance.

  • Cons: You have to reboot your Mac every time you want to switch between macOS and Windows.

Option 2: Using a Virtual Machine (VM)

Virtualization software like Parallels Desktop or VMware Fusion allows you to run Windows inside a window within your macOS environment - no rebooting required. You install the VM software, then install Windows as a "guest" operating system, and finally install Power BI within that Windows environment.
