Prerequisite: To perform these actions, you need to be a Global Administrator or Billing Administrator in your Microsoft 365 tenant. A Power BI Service Administrator can manage capacity once it's purchased, but they can't buy it.
Step 1: Purchase a Power BI Premium SKU
First, you need to acquire the Premium capacity license from Microsoft. This is done through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, not the Power BI service itself.
- Navigate to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and log in with your admin credentials.
