Step 1: Identify Your Workspace Type

Navigate to the Power BI service online and open the workspace containing your report. Next to the workspace name, you'll likely see a small icon.

  • A diamond icon indicates it's some form of Premium workspace.
  • A diamond icon with a person symbol inside specifically marks it as a Premium Per User (PPU) workspace.
  • If there is no icon, it's a standard workspace that requires all users to have Pro licenses.
